MONTICELLO, Miss. (AP) - A Mississippi man is charged with drunken driving after using his all-terrain vehicle to try to pull his pickup truck off a highway.

The Daily Leader reports 21-year-old Trenton Blackmon of Natchez was driving his pickup Saturday night when it ran out of gas on U.S. Highway 84 near Monticello.

Cpl. Brandon Fortenberry of the Mississippi Highway Patrol says Blackmon’s truck was hauling an all-terrain vehicle on a trailer. When the truck stopped running, Blackmon used the ATV to try to pull the truck. While he was doing that, another vehicle crashed into the empty trailer, pushing it under the truck and causing the truck to hit the ATV.

Nobody was injured, but Blackmon was charged with DUI. It was not immediately clear whether he has an attorney.
