The ultimate summer retreat to the Gulf Coast with Four Seasons Hotel Bahrain Bay

The hotel invites guests to discover a new beach and ancient pearl diving trails in Bahrain this summer.

Four Seasons Hotel Bahrain Bay is set to open a new utopian white-sand beach this summer and will act as a springboard to discovering the ancient tradition of pearl diving, in association with the Bahrain Tourism and Exhibition Authority (BTEA). Boasting a wide array of leisure activities and home to the Formula 1 Grand Prix, Bahrain is an exciting destination for an urban retreat this summer with activities and experiences to suit couples and families of all ages.

Budding beachgoers can begin the day by discovering Four Seasons Hotel Bahrain Bay’s new white sand beach. Curving 160-metres (525-feet) along the private island’s sun-soaked southern shore, this is the ideal place for guests to unwind, complete with a dedicated children’s play area and an array of beachside amenities. Beach lovers can look forward to the attentive service of Four Seasons staff on hand to offer everything from fresh fruit skewers and refreshing beverages, to an array of high-end sun care products and a chair-side sunglasses cleaning and repair service. Guests can also choose from a delicious lunch and snack menu, with food served directly on the beach.

After dark, the new outdoor space will transform into a vibrant venue hosting torch-lit events and is also available for group bookings. Set to open by this summer, The Four Seasons Beach will welcome Hotel guests and Spa members throughout the day at no additional charge.

To coincide with the opening of the new beach at Four Seasons Hotel Bahrain Bay, BTEA has announced the start of a new season of Pearl Diving on the UNESCO-inscribed Pearling Trail, an ancient tradition which dates back over 2000 years. Guests can take the plunge into the clear waters of the Arabian Gulf as part a pearl diving experience, which can be arranged directly through the Four Seasons concierge. Bahrain’s pearls are considered among some of the finest natural pearls in the world and this unique attraction offers guests an insight into the cultural and historically significant marine activities that Bahrain has to offer.

After an exhilarating day of exploring, guests are invited to relax and unwind in the sumptuous Spa featuring 17 treatment rooms, two pools and a rejuvenating and cleansing salt inhalation room, where Ayurvedic inspired massage treatments and rituals are offered to repair and rebalance. The hotel also boasts an expansive outdoor pool coating the serene landscape and shimmering waters that reflect on to the Manama coastline.

The Hotel also offers a wide range of exciting dining experiences, with a selection of five restaurants to choose from, including the Steakhouse restaurant CUT by Wolfgang Puck, as well as re/ Asian Cuisine, Wolfgang’s signature, modern take on traditional Asian cuisine, located on the 50th floor with breath-taking views of the city.

When the warm summer air sets the night alight, there are plenty of open-air performances and idyllic spots for romantic evening strolls in Bahrain. A stone’s throw from the Hotel, Adliya is a popular bohemian neighbourhood in Manama, where many of the old townhouses have transformed into art galleries, cafes and chic restaurants.
