Alexis Sanchez discussed his short stint at Manchester United on Wednesday in which he admitted he should have made more of an impact since signing.

He also hit back at suggestions he's isolated at the Old Trafford club, revealing that he has become rather good friends with Zlatan Ibrahimovic.

So much so in fact that the pair go for a coffee every single day.

That's a lot of conversation - and even more caffeine - and it got us thinking, what on earth goes on during these coffee shop dates? Well, for a bit of fun, we thought we'd have a go at answering that question... (Obviously, this is a joke).

It's a Tuesday afternoon and the Manchester United first team finish training and make their way to the changing room.

Ibrahimovic is the first man in the showers - well, you're not going to argue with him, are you? - and takes a good half an hour to get ready.

Sanchez meanwhile showers by himself in the corner before silently getting changed, slipping outside to the car park, and waiting by Ibrahimovic's vehicle.

The Chilean squints in the sunlight as he looks up at his team-mates heading home in their own cars, and nods in acknowledgment as they pass.

Eventually Ibrahimovic exits the changing rooms and bounds over to his car, unlocking the doors with his key as he strides towards Sanchez who quickly pulls open the passenger door, jumps in and waits.

En route to the coffee shop - which one has yet to be decided - Ibrahimovic blares music from his stereo and the conversation is limited.

Soon the duo reach the high street.

"Anywhere in particular you have in mind, Alexi?" asks Ibrahimovic.

Sanchez points out the hipster spot slap bang in the middle of seven Starbucks' and three Costa's and Ibrahimovic parks up outside - two wheels on the pavement.

Inside Ibrahimovic is first to order. "A double espresso," he bellows across the room as the nervous barista quickly gets to work.

Sanchez meanwhile waits at the counter, reading the board for a good few minutes before eventually plumping for a frappe.

He notices that Ibrahimovic has already necked his coffee and is firing Karate kicks at the other customers in the shop, stopping just before making contact with their heads.

Sanchez orders the Swede a bottle of water, and wanders over to the table Ibrahimovic is now occupying with the two drinks in his hands.

"Oh Zlatan," Sanchez exclaims as he throws himself down in his seat. "Things just aren't going right for me at the moment."

Ibrahimovic takes a big gulp of water and stares across the table at Sanchez, who delicately sips his drink before pulling out his phone and scrolling furiously.

"Things will get better," replies the Swede. "At least you're no longer at Arsenal."

The Chilean smirks, but it's not clear whether it's in response to Ibrahimovic's comment, or the picture he's staring at intently on his phone.

It shows him lying on his front room floor with Atom and Humber, and it's not long before he's showing his pet dogs off to his team-mate.

"Look Alexi, you need to focus on something else if you want your game to improve," says Ibrahimovic, wiping the smirk off the Chilean's face.

"But I love me dogs an..." he tries to reply, but is quickly cut off by Ibrahimovic, who continues: "I know, I know. But if you want to improve - to become a Manchester United legend, and maybe, one day, a lion like Zlatan, you need to focus on things that will improve your game and help your confidence. Like this for example."

He whips out his phone and starts punching away at his touchscreen before showing off videos of himself scoring goals throughout his career.

"NAC Breda were no match for Zlatan; Joe Hart never stood a chance," are just some of the things spoken out loud over the course of the next 45 minutes.

Sure, the conversation is a bit one-sided, but it seems to do the trick and lift Sanchez's mood. He's even got a smile on his face as the duo slowly vacate their seats and head for the exit.

"I must go back to training now, Alexi. I have a big summer ahead of me and an international retirement to reconsider," says Ibrahimovic, as he makes his way over to his car, forgetting Chile will play no part in the World Cup in Russia and leaving Sanchez contemplating tears by the entrance to the shop.
