The funeral of MSP Christina McKelvie was held in Glasgow on Friday (April 11).
Ms McKelvie, a former government minister, died last month aged 57 after a battle with secondary breast cancer. Ms McKelvie was born in Glasgow's Easterhouse.
The funeral was held at Daldowie Crematorium in Uddingston. SNP Depute Leader, Keith Brown, Ms McKelvie's partner, was among the coffin bearers, the Daily Record reports.
Nicola Sturgeon, the former First Minister, was among those to attend the service. She paid tribute to her friend and colleague this week, recalling Ms McKelvie's words to her during a car journey as the pair returned from the funeral of Glasgow comic Janey Godley in November.
Cabinet Secretary Angus Robertson and Scottish Labour Leader Anas Sarwar also attended the service. Ms McKelvie was an active trade unionist before her election to Holyrood in 2007.

As a Minister for many years, the mum of two covered portfolios including the drugs death crisis. The MSP for Hamilton, Larkhall and Stonehouse last year announced she required further treatment for breast cancer and she stepped back from government duties.
Mourners attending the funeral were encouraged to “wear some pink, blue, yellow or turquoise.” This week, Ms Sturgeon paid tribute to her friend and recalled a car journey they shared:
"At the end of last year, I drove Christina home from Janey Godley's funeral. She howled with laughter - at my expense - when I took a wrong turn and briefly got us lost but we also shed a few tears on that journey.

"She spoke about her illness and how short she knew her life was likely to be because of it. She encouraged me to live life to the full and not let the worries on my own shoulders stop me making the most of it.
"As we said goodbye that day, we hugged. Christina’s hugs were legendary. If I had known then that it would be the last one I ever got from her, I would have held on a lot longer."
