Johnson City man arrested, buys flavored vodka in exchange for sexual contact
JOHNSON CITY, N.Y. (WBNG) -- The Broome County Sheriff’s Department arrested a Johnson City man who is facing felony charges for sex crimes.
The sheriff’s department arrested Keith T. Harrison II, 38, of Johnson City. Harrison was charged with 3rd-degree rape and aggravated patronizing a minor for prostitiuton.
On March 21, officials announced that the Broome County Sheriff’s Office detectives had completed their investigation into Harrison. The investigation revealed that Harrison had been exchanging messages with a juvenile female through text and Snapchat for several days.
The department indicated that Harrison was sexually pursuing the victim and eventually purchased a flavored vodka for her in exchange for sexual contact.
“Excellent work, as always, by our Broome County Sheriff’s Office Detectives Division in getting more sexual predators off the street and away from our community’s children,” said Broome County Sheriff Fred Akshar. “We must continue to be vigilant and hold these predators accountable.”
Following the investigation, Harrison was arrested, charged and arraigned at Central Arraignment Part before being remanded to the Broome County Sheriff’s Correctional Facility. An Order of Protection was filed on behalf of the victim.
