Pratt receives Foxcroft Academy’s MPA Principal’s Award
DOVER-FOXCROFT — Cameron Pratt, a senior at Foxcroft Academy, has been selected to receive the 2025 MPA Principal’s Award. Sponsored by the Maine Principals’ Association, this award recognizes a high school senior’s academic excellence, outstanding school citizenship, and leadership.
Pratt is the son of Joel and Nina Pratt of Dover-Foxcroft. He has been active in the classroom, enrolling in several advanced courses including AP and IB programs. Musically gifted, he participates in various music offerings, such as band and select choir (and more), and has shown leadership in co-curricular activities including soccer, golf and ice hockey.

“Cameron is a quiet leader and is a great role model for all to follow,” said Arnold Shorey, head of school. “He takes academics seriously, as evidenced by his track record, and he is an incredible musician and singer. Cameron is well deserving of this award.”
Pratt and Shorey will attend an honors luncheon with other award winners and their principals at Jeff’s Catering in Brewer on Saturday, April 5. This event honors these exceptional students by presenting an individual plaque and awarding 10 $1,000 scholarships in the names of former Maine principals and MPA Executive Directors: Horace O. McGowan, Richard W. Tyler and Richard A. Durost.
The MPA Principal’s Award is given yearly at more than 100 Maine public and private high schools by member principals of the MPA, the professional association representing Maine’s school administrators.
