'I'm a coffee lover and this is the machine I'd put in my basket in Amazon's Spring Sale'
Shoppers say they 'can't live without' the Siemens EQ6 plus S300 bean to cup coffee machine - and it's currently got hundreds off in Amazon's spring sale
With Amazon's Spring Sale underway, many people are turning to the shopping giant to treat themselves to new garden, home and kitchen gadgets. While there are a boat-load of deals on airfryers and smoothie-makers, one appliance that has seen reductions in prices across the board is a coffee machine.
While they often cost a pretty penny, especially if you want a high-tech one, Amazon's spring sale has been kind to the caffeine addicts amongst us, reducing some pretty expensive coffee machines by hundreds. Investing in such a home gadget will likely be a bit of a gamechanger. Not only will it give you and any guests a delicious coffee at the drop of a hat, but it'll save you some much-needed cash. For example, if the average coffee in the UK is around £3.40 and you have 5 take-out coffees a week (one for each working day), that's £884 a year on coffee - which is more than the price of an average machine.
As a bit of a self-proclaimed coffee connoisseur (as a former coffee shop worker with years experience making every type of coffee, I feel I have some authority), one particular deal that has stood out to me as one that cannot be missed is the SIEMENS EQ6 plus S300, Fully Automatic Bean to Cup Espresso Coffee Machine.

Now while this isn't the cheapest out there with a higher price tag than say the now £79.99 Nespresso XN903140 Vertuo Pod Coffee Machine or the now £37.99 Tassimo by Bosch Style Pod Coffee Machine, its discount is pretty hefty. Not to mention its finer details, features and coffee quality makes it a winner in my eyes.
The SIEMENS EQ6 plus S300 is at the higher end of the pay grade; this coffee machine usually retails at an eye-watering £1000 at Argos but with Amazon's Spring Deal, it's down to £499. With £333.50 off, it's a pretty sweet money-saver in the long run if you order take out coffee on a regular basis—on sale, it's the equivalent of 148 take out coffees.
Now, this bean-to-cup machine seems to be for the people who don't have an affinity with—or the time for—dialling in, grinding, tamping and then waiting for the coffee to pour in the morning. With pre-determined settings for the specific coffee you want, be it flat white, espresso, long black, latte - you name it, there are 10 different programmes - with just one touch of a button, the Siemens coffee machine seems to be able to do it all for you. You can also save your drink preferences in the 'favourites' option.
All that needs doing is making sure the water tank, coffee bean holder is full and the cup is neatly tucked under the spouts then select your coffee. It also has an automatic self-cleaning system for the milk steamer, so that's one less thing to worry about when doing the weekly kitchen freshen.
The EQ.6 bean to cup coffee machine includes 'Double cup' too, so you can impress your guests by pouring two perfect coffees at once. The machine's integrated milk frother steams your milk of choosing to perfection—without you needing to master the technique - and even pours it straight into your cup for you.
Weighing 9.4kg and with a 1.7 litres capacity, the machine isn't the daintiest at 46.8D x 28.1W x 38.5H centimetres, meaning it probably needs ample counter space. Although, if you're someone whose mornings depend on coffee, this is most likely already factored into your set up.
With a 4.3 star rating on Amazon alone, the coffee machine has been praised for its ability to make the 'best flat white I have had anywhere' - quite the claim.
One five star shopper also said: "I’ve spent a lot of money on coffee machines only to throw them out if they were not up to the job. This machine ticks all the boxes. It looks good on the counter top and makes a decent cup of coffee, black or white. I have more than one favourite so I suppose that speaks for itself. It also does a good job of self cleaning."
Someone else raved: "Purchased in October, it’s now March! I use it every day! Makes the best coffee. Took some time to figure out what size and strength makes the best personal cup. But the favourite option helps you revisit that. Can’t live without it now."
The only thing some shoppers have noted is that their coffee wasn't their ideal temperature, with one stating: "Good machine but drinks could be hotter," while another echoed: "We use this coffee machine every single day – not just for coffee, but also for frothing milk, hot water, and even tea! It works like a charm, though I wish the milk could get a bit hotter." Although they added: "That said, if you drink it right away, it’s perfect."
For something that's of a similar set-up but isn't quite as high-tech the Breville One-Touch CoffeeHouse II VCF147 Coffee Machine is now £169.99 from £349.99 at Curry's. With one-button to control your coffee order- latte, cappuccino, espresso - a 19-Bar Italian pump that delivers the perfect pressure to extract robust coffee flavours (compatible with both espresso pods and ground coffee) and an adjustable milk frother that steams the milk for you at your preferred level - again, without you needing to do anything but adjust the dial - it's a great machine that'll make your mornings way simpler and smoother.
The only negative aspect some shoppers pointed out was that it was relatively 'noisy'. Alternatively, the Philips Series 2300 Fully automatic espresso machine is on sale for £349.99 down from £499.99.
