Two iconic acts from the folk-rock and Americana scene are joining forces for a newly announced summer concert.

Melissa Etheridge and the Indigo Girls are bringing their “Yes We Are” tour to Canandaigua on August 27 at the Constellation Brands-Marvin Sands Performing Arts Center (CMAC). Doors open at 5:30 p.m., with the show beginning at 7 p.m.

Fans can purchase their tickets starting with a presale on Wednesday, March 26, at 10 a.m. ET, followed by the general public sale on Friday, March 28, at 10 a.m. ET via Ticketmaster.

If you can’t make it to the Canandaigua concert, Etheridge will also be performing in Waterloo at The Vine Theater at Del Lago Resort & Casino on April 4 and in Albany at The Palace Theatre Albany with Joss Stone on April 29.

Tickets for all shows are available via Ticketmaster or secondary market platforms like Vivid Seats, SeatGeek, and StubHub.

These resale platforms may offer below-face-value pricing and availability for sold-out shows, depending on demand.

Etheridge debuted in the late 1980s with her 1988 self-titled album. She followed it up with hits like “I’m the Only One” and “Come to My Window,” the latter of which won her a Grammy Award for Best Female Rock Performance in 1995.

More recently, she released her album “One Way Out,” a collection of songs from the late ‘80s and early ‘90s that had been previously unreleased. She also released a two-part docuseries, “I’m Not Broken,” on Paramount+.

The Indigo Girls, consisting of Emily Saliers and Amy Ray, also debuted in the late 1980s with their 1989 debut album, “Indigo Girls,” which sold more than two million copies and included the hit singles “Closer to Fine” and “Kid Fears.”

Their latest album, “Look Long,” was released in 2020. In 2023, they also released the documentary “It’s Only Life After All” and a new single, “What We Wanna Be.”
