Chattanooga Food Truck & Craft Beer Festival welcomes local favorites and new businesses

CHATTANOOGA, Tenn. (WDEF)- Chattanooga Food Truck and Craft Beer Festival returns to Coolidge Park for the third year in a row and welcomes local favorites and some new blooming businesses in this year’s festivities.
Anthony Pepe, the owner of Food Truck Festivals of America, came to the News 12 studio to highlight the event. Twenty-five food trucks will be at Coolidge Park on Saturday, March 22 from 12 P.M. to 6 P.M. The Food Trucks Festivals of America first started off in Boston and it travels around the country.
“We’re New Englanders and we came here to Chattanooga. We fell in love with Chattanooga,” said Anthony Pepe.
The event is family friendly with something for all age groups, including the grown ups having some alcoholic beverage options.
Joined in the studio to highlight the variety of food trucks, is Miss. Griffin’s Footlong Hotdogs and the Blended Pedaler.
Miss Griffin’s Footlong Hotdogs is a local favorite with history dating back to 1939. The food truck will have hotdog options like the Original Griffin, the Kitchen Sink, and the Backyard Dog. Nothing goes better with a beer than a loaded footlong hotdog!

For those who rather stay on the side of clean healthy eating, Blended Pedaler has you covered. A new food truck that just hit the road in early March will be joining the festival for the first time. Originating from Bristol, Blended Pedaler offers loaded smoothie bowls. They have their own signature creation called the Pedaler’s Way which is acai and dragon fruit with granola, peanut butter, bananas, strawberries, kiwis, and coconut. Festival goers can also customize and create their own smoothie bowl.
