AT&T internet outage affecting New Hanover and Pender County customers

NEW HANOVER COUNTY, N.C. (WECT) - An internet outage on Thursday, March 20 is impacting New Hanover and Pender County AT&T customers.
According to the AT&T outage map, the outage in New Hanover County stretches from Ogden to Seabreeze.
Restoration time is now estimated for 5 p.m.
Pender County Schools (PCS) is also impacted by the outage.
In a statement on Facebook, the district says the outage is “a regional issue and not specific to PCS.”
AT&T’s website says the cause of the outage is due to fiber equipment issues.
