A man stabbed to death near Brixton Underground station has been named and pictured.
Troy Ramsundar, 34, was pronounced dead at the scene by Brixton Road, London after 5am on Thursday.
Emergency services attended but said Mr Ramsundar could not be saved.
His family are being supported by specialist officers.
A murder investigation has been launched by the Met Police, who said a man arrested at the scene was later released with no further action to be taken in relation to the attack.
A white and yellow forensics tent was set up outside a coffeeshop on Coldharbour Lane.
The fatal stabbing comes after locals voiced safety concerns with police, according to a woman working at Brixton Community Market.
Wanting to stay anonymous, she said: ‘We had a meeting with the police a few weeks ago and the police asked who felt unsafe in Brixton. Almost everyone raised their hands.
‘The cleaners were told to close the entrance to the market on Coldharbour Lane.’
Detective Chief Inspector Brian Howie, from the Met’s Specialist Crime Command, who is leading the investigation, said: ‘My thoughts are with the victim’s family and friends at this devastating time.

‘I understand the shock and concern this incident will have on the Brixton community. My team are already working diligently to gather evidence and establish what led to this tragedy.
‘I would ask any local residents with concerns to speak to officers at the scene, or to their local neighbourhood policing teams.
‘If you have any information that could assist this investigation, I would urge you to get in contact immediately.
