Is the season of the watermelon muse girlies upon us? If these pink-into-green ombré champagne coupes from Lilly Pulitzer are any indication, I believe the answer has to be a resounding yes—and just in time for spring. Part of my color-coded infatuation is admittedly Wicked-adjacent (it is now streaming, folks), but that doesn’t account for the sheer joy these glam glasses impart to a tablescape.

Even without Cynthia and Ariana in attendance, the color story this set invites to one's dinner table is satisfying on a deeply primal, arguably queer-coded level. In other words, exactly what one expects from Lilly Pulitzer.

I’ll pair them with the Carolina Irving & Daughters striped green Elena tablecloth for the full rind fantasia, complemented by a set of Chiarastella Cattana placemats in pink and red. Guests will stay healthy and hydrated out of Sophie Lou Jacobsen's glass tumblers with color-coordinated bases (in pink OR green), while enjoying snacks off of her petal plates.

Obviously, in addition to champagne we'll enjoy a cocktail that's formulated for maximum watermelon impact, ideally something along the lines of my good Judy Peter Som’s Watermelon Sake Punch. The best part? At the end of the night, these beauties can go straight into the dishwasher. Cheers to that!
