Experts from Travel Republic have revealed the popular European holiday destinations where you’ll find the cheapest beer from as little as £2.07 - much less than the UK average of £4.79 a pint.
The summer holidays are coming up soon, and many British tourists will be looking to book their next getaway, as the UK weather continues to be unpredictable.
Already, UK searches for ‘summer holiday’ have soared by 103% in the last few months, indicating that many Brits are desperate to escape the cold.
But what is one of the most important factors to consider when choosing your next destination?
For many Brits, it might very well be as you expected - where to get the cheapest beer.
With this in mind, online holiday provider Travel Republic has analysed data from the most popular holiday destinations to discover which five European destinations have the cheapest beer, so you can decide where to visit next.

At number one we have the popular Brit destination Alicante, Spain.
Not only can you find domestic beer for just £2.07, it’s also among the cheapest, most popular British getaways.
Alicante is known for its fresh, locally-sourced ingredients and Mediterranean flavors, featuring seafood, hearty rice dishes, and flavourful tapas, with dishes such as arroz con costra, and olleta alicantna being particularly notable.
Second up we have Dalaman, Turkey. Turkey has grown to be a popular UK destination, seeing 81k searches in the last month.
The city Dalaman is a particular favourite among British tourists and saw 4.2 million Brits arrive in the first 10 months of 2024 alone.
Here in Dalman, the average price of a pint is £2.08.
This southwestern Turkish region offers a vibrant culinary scene, also with a focus on fresh seafood, local ingredients and traditional Turkish dishes, including mezze, pide and grilled meats which can often be enjoyed at a waterfront restaurant.

In third place we have the Portuguese Island of Madeira.
The capital of this archipelago, Funchal, boasts pints for the small sum of £2.28 for domestic brews and £2.90 for imported ones.
In Funchal, you will also find 16 British and Irish bars with many live sports streaming and offering up traditional pub grub such as fish and chips- making it the ideal destination for pub-loving Brits.
The archipelago boasts countless delicacies that have been refined over time, with some of their best known cuisines including grilled beef skewers (espetada), black scabbard fish (espada), and the local garlic bread (bolo do caco).
In fourth place, we’re back in Spain, in the capital city of Madrid.
