Russian, Tajik leaders to discuss two countries’ cooperation — Foreign Ministry

The leaders’ talks will take place within Emomali Rahmon’s official visit to Moscow on March 15-17

DUSHANBE, March 14. /TASS/. Tajik President Emomali Rahmon and his Russian counterpart Vladimir Putin will address a range of issues related to cooperation between the two countries, Shohin Samadi, head of the Information and Press Department of Tajikistan's Foreign Ministry, told TASS.

The leaders' talks will take place within Rahmon's official visit to Moscow on March 15-17.

"During the visit, the two presidents will discuss issues of bilateral cooperation in the political, trade and economic, cultural and humanitarian areas, as well as in the security field," he said. According to the spokesman, the meeting will cover regional and international issues of mutual interest.

In addition, the talks will result in the signing of several cooperation agreements between the two countries, he added.

The previous meeting between the Tajik and Russian leaders took place in December 2024 in Russia's Leningrad Region on the sidelines of an informal meeting of the Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS) leaders.
