Prince William, a well-known football enthusiast, might have ruffled the feathers of his mate David Beckham with a surprising revelation about his favorite soccer players of all time.
The heir to the throne, often seen cheering at Villa Park as one of Aston Villa's most ardent supporters, has shown he's quite knowledgeable about the sport, and is certainly enjoying Villa's excellent season lately.
During a recent playful interview, Prince William participated in a spin-off of the popular 'Football Legends - Head 2 Head' game, facing some tough questions and choices about his favorite players of all time, when the topic of Beckham came up.
Confronted by The Sun with the dilemma of picking between Zinedine Zidane and English football icon Beckham – who last celebrated with the prince at an Air Ambulance event in October – William winced and confessed: "This gonna hurt. Becks, I think - just... I think Becks might kill me if I don't say him."

Yet, when it came to choosing between Cristiano Ronaldo and the ex-England and Manchester United star, William didn't hesitate to pick Ronaldo.
This follows Beckham's own disclosures about his Royal ties and how he reacted to a request from Prince William. Beckham has been notably present alongside both the Prince of Wales and King Charles in recent times.
The 49 year old has been named an ambassador for the King’s Foundation and tagged along with William to showcase the London Air Ambulance's shiny new helicopters. While rubbing shoulders with high-flyers at the World Economic Forum in Davos, Becks spilled the beans about his mateship with the royals and the work he's been up to with the monarchy, getting misty-eyed in the process.
He confessed that Royal topics always get him "emotional talking about anything that I do with our Royal Family".
Chatting about his bond with William, Becks shared that he's always ready to team up with the Prince "whenever he's asked me to get involved". He said: "To be involved in that has always been a 'yes' for me. Whenever the Prince of Wales sends me a message and says 'I need you to do this' or 'be there', it's always a 'yes'."
As for his gig with Charles’ King’s Foundation, he had nothing but admiration for the regent, calling him an incredible man. Beckham even mentioned that his mum Sandra couldn’t hold back her tears when she heard her son was tapped to be an ambassador for the charity.
