It is said that this week, the investigators will interrogate the accuser of Red Bull team principal Christain Horner once more. A staff member accused the Red Bull squad manager of acting inappropriately before the 2024 season. After Red Bull Gmbh handed the British driver a clean sheet, the investigation gradually lost momentum in the world of F1 after dominating the race for the first two races.
Because she had not been truthful throughout the process, the female complainant was subsequently suspended from her position on the team and paid in full. The process will be repeated by the accuser with a newly designated attorney who will review the charges, according to The Mirror.
Following her suspension, the accuser's companion expressed her dissatisfaction with the proceedings to the media in March. "She is so disappointed with how it's all gone, especially as she did everything by the book. She raised her concerns in private and did everything right but she feels very let down by the company. They suspended her when she followed the proper process diligently and correctly."
"The lack of support is noted and she's just so disappointed with the treatment from her employer. Look at what happened. She complained there was a supposedly transparent, independent investigation, Horner was cleared, and she was then suspended.”
Christian Horner, the manager of the Red Bull team, said during a news conference earlier in the year that he thought the situation had been drawn out far too long. It was time, he said, for everyone to move on from the incidents.
"Obviously, there has been a lot of coverage surrounding this, but one has to go back to the basis of a grievance was raised, it was fully investigated and it was dismissed. From there we move onwards," stated Horner in a press conference.
"I think an awful lot has been made out of this. Obviously, it has been of great interest in different elements of the media for different reasons. I think the time now is to look forward and draw a line under it.”
It will be interesting to observe whether the inquiry is reopened by a different attorney, whether the public receives different facts, and whether Horner's future in the sport is affected.
