Glasgow's favourite beer gardens to soak up the sun on a glorious day This week is the beginning of the much-needed summer weather with highs reaching their mid-twenties as we head into June. So if you want to make the most of the sun, here's how.

Sunglasses, taps aff, cold beer in hand....we could go on.
Making the most of the sunny weather is what we do best and with it soaring past 20C all week - and not a drop of rain in sight - the beer gardens are practically calling our names.

So if you want to grab your favourite shorts and shirt and venture out for a sunny evening, here are beer gardens that we think you should check out.

Record Factory Make your way to Byres Road and you'll find yourself at The Record Factory which is touted as being one of the largest beer gardens in the west end. With decking and the terrace, it’s the perfect sun trap if you are looking for a pint or two.

And what's better than having a beer in the sun under their famous Charles Rennie Mackintosh mural with a selection of drinks and pizza looking onto the iconic River Clyde?

BAad - also called Barras Art and Design Centre - has been kitted out with shipping containers and colourful street art perfect to impress tourists coming to the city as well as a perfect day out as a local.

And one place to be to do just that is in the east end of the city. Boasting a large beer garden, it's ideal for people looking to enjoy a pint or two with some German grub.. Housed in the iconic Templeton Carpet Factory building, the brewery, restaurant and pub is one to put on your list.

But if you're not there for their famous mac n cheese, it's almost certain that you'll enjoy sitting out away from the busy shopping crowds for a cold glass in the sunshine.

For those unaware, SW stands for Studio Warehouse with G3 referring to its postcode. The creative space is not only the ideal music scene, it's also home to some great food and drinks.

The dog-friendly venue is the perfect place to be on a sunny day after a stroll around the local park and the small business in the area. And better yet, if you're into your spots they show all the games with pub quies taking place on Monday's at 8pm.

Open from midday to 1am seven days a week, it's the perfect place to drink and soak up the sun.
