On this morning's episode of ITV Lorraine, viewers were issued a bleak health warning by the show's in-house medical professional Dr Hilary Jones. The Doctor appeared alongside 63-year-old Lorraine to warn people about the dangers of eating bread.

Explaining the findings of a recent study, Dr Hilary said that a lot of bread contains a lot more salt than people realise, and could therefore become a health hazard if eaten in excess. He said: "Action on Salt have looked at 242 different loaves, examined them all and three quarters of them had as much salt as a packet of salted crisps. That's a worry and the worst one is two slices of bread gives you a fifth of your daily total recommended intake of salt."

But while viewers were stunned by the revelation, it was Lorraine's outfit which particularly caught people's attention. Dressed in a red and pink colour block skirt, paired with a pink top and some very tight heels, the TV host was flooded with compliments.

On an Instagram post she shared within moments of the show, one of Lorraine's followers praised the outfit, writing: "Absolutely gorgeous today x beautiful." A second said: "You looked fabulous today Lorraine really thought you were wearing a dress."

A third person wrote: "Another classy and elegant outfit." What are gorgeous skirt Lorraine very flattering you look absolutely beautiful as always and your hair and makeup looks lovely."

Somebody else commented on the picture, writing: "Stunning goddess you look absolutely gorgeous." Another fan of Lorraine called her 'pretty in pink.'

While the skirt got a unanimous yes, Lorraine's shoes didn't go down quite so well, and left some people distracted with their tight fit. One Instagram user said: "Seriously get your stylist to get some shoes that look nice on your feet!"

The 'pretty' pink skirt that had ITV Lorraine viewers in such a chokehold is from Manchester-based brand Forever Unique - which is owned by fellow ITV star of the Real Housewives of Cheshire Seema Malhotra. The Red and Pink Pleated Colour Block Midi Skirt usually costs £60, but is currently half price at £30 (the offer ends on Friday March 31, and the discount is applied at checkout).
