AG Barr profits pop after growth across portfolio

AG Barr has lifted its profit guidance after strong growth across its portfolio of drinks helped it to increase revenue by 17 per cent to £315 million.

While the company has raised prices in response to inflationary pressures it also benefited from acquisitions in the 12 months to January 29. There was a full-year of contribution from Moma, the oat milk brand it bought into in 2021, as well sales from the takeover of Boost, the energy drink, purchased for an initial £20 million in December.

AG Barr, which was founded in 1875 and has its headquarters in Cumbernauld, North Lanarkshire, has been listed on the London Stock Exchange since 1962 and makes the bulk of its sales in the UK.
