Malta has donated 131,000 COVID-19 vaccine doses to Iran, the Health Ministry said on Tuesday.

The donation was facilitated by the European Commission and follows efforts by a number of other European countries to share vaccines for the benefit of the Iranian people, the ministry said.

Over the past months Malta also donated vaccines to Libya, Ghana and Rwanda.
