Bushmills Irish Whiskey today announced the release of its 27 Year Old Bourbon Cask from the 2021 Causeway Collection. Only 678 bottles of this latest release are available, exclusively through Aer Rianta International (ARI) at The Irish Whiskey Collection at The Loop, Dublin and Cork airports, and online at theloop.ie. The recommended price (duty paid) is €650 for 700ml.
The Causeway Collection is a selection of rare, cask-finished Irish single malt whiskeys from The Old Bushmills Distillery – the world’s oldest licensed whiskey distillery. The collection was first launch in 2020.
The 27-Year-Old Bourbon Cask is a limited edition, cask strength (52.1% ABV) and non chill-filtered Irish single malt. It was distilled in 1994, maturing in third-fill bourbon barrels for six years. It was then recasked into first-fill bourbon barrels from Kentucky, USA, where it spent 21 further years.
