A popular Liverpool restaurant has announced it will serve takeaway beers as new, tougher lockdown rules remain in place across the region.

With hundreds of bars and pubs across Liverpool City Region closed, many have been looking for ways to get their hands on a good pint.

Since restaurants can continue to operate - with face covering and table service rules in place - one Liverpool venue has taken things a step further to offer takeaway beers.

Albert’s Schenke on Hanover Street in Liverpool city centre has taken to Instagram to share the news that it will be offering takeaway drinks.

The restaurant and beer hall, which replaced The Hub Alehouse and Kitchen when it closed after almost a decade in May 2019, is offering a range of different beer options available for Click and Collect.

Albert’s Schenke shared the news on Instagram, writing: “TAKE OUT BIERS HAVE LANDED! You can now collect your favourite bier straight from Albert's Schenke.

“Enjoy our 1-litre Growlers in the comfort of your own home, choosing from the likes of @pilsnerurquell Kozel, Stiegl and our very own Liverpool Rein!

“We also have a carefully curated liste of our favourite local, national and international biers for you to take home, Click & Collect five of these bottles or cans for just Twenty English Pounds. Click the link in our bio and enjoy!”

The menu features everything from Glenaffric Exotic Wave and Innis & Gun The Original to Shindigger Iced Coffee and Magic Rock Salty Kiss.
