January is traditionally a time for sales but it’s not just the shops that have deals on this time round.

If you’re not planning on doing Dry January, Wetherspoon is holding a big sale next month, with pints for less than £2.

Prices will also be reduced on selected spirits, cider, and wine in the sale that lasts the whole month of January.

For those who don’t fancy the thought of drinking after all that Christmas excess, there’s soft drinks and coffee included too.

Standout savings include a Gordon’s gin (single measure with mixer), for £2.45, a pint of Magners for £1.89, a 175ml glass of Coldwater creek wine for £2.30 and a pint of Shipyard craft beer for £2.35.

Low and alcohol-free drinks including Beck’s Blue, Heineken 0.0, Brewdog Nanny State and Adnams Ghost Ship are also in the sale.

Wetherspoon pub manager Bobby Platt said: "Department stores and shops hold their sales in January, so it is the perfect time to have a sale at the pub too.

"The range of drinks on sale in the pub is aimed at suiting a wide variety of tastes. This year we have included our biggest selection of low and non-alcoholic drinks.

"I believe that the January Sale will prove popular with our customers. As always, staff at the pub will serve customers responsibly."
