Authorities in Brooklyn, Iowa are trying to unravel the mystery of what happened to Mollie Tibbetts. The 20-year-old University of Iowa student was last seen on Wednesday, July 18 at about 10 p.m.

Friends and family said she had been dog-sitting at the time she disappeared. She had gone out for a jog and never returned.

Mollie's aunt, Kim Cauldawoods, described Mollie as "beautiful and full of life." Cauldawoods said, "It's been difficult - very difficult. But the outpouring of support, it has been just outstanding."

Searches were organized on Friday in the farm fields between Tibbetts' home and the house where she had been staying to care for the dog. The Brooklyn community is between Des Moines and Iowa City, just north of Interstate 80.

Tibbetts is described as being 5' 2" tall, weighing approximately 120 pounds. She has brown hair and brown eyes.
