7 year search for Madison fugitive ends in Austria
A seven year search for a Madison fugitive comes to an end in Vienna, Austria on Friday morning.
A spokesperson with the US Marshals Service said the Dane County Sheriff’s Office held warrants on William Guy for stalking resulting in bodily harm, false imprisonment, identity theft, felony intimidation of a victim, sexual assault, kidnapping, capture an image of nudity without consent, and 53 counts of child pornography.
Guy had outstanding warrants with the US Marshals Service for unlawful flight to avoid prosecution and false statement on application for passport.
Multiple agencies including the US Marshals Service, Madison Police Department, Department of State, and Dane County Sheriff’s Department worked together to bring Guy to justice.
