Bishkek, March 16, 2018 / Kabar /. Chinese Ambassador to Kyrgyzstan Xiao Qinghua commented on the situation around the TBEA that carried out the modernization of Bishkek thermal power plant (TPP) and Huawei, which was to implement the Smart City project.
During the meeting with journalists in Bishkek he told that TBEA is a well-known company in the world and has a good reputation.
"The company implements projects in other countries. And even in the western countries. Regarding the Bishkek thermal power plant, TBEA did its work. And what is being done there now, it is the internal affairs of Kyrgyzstan. The Commission is investigating this case. TBEA completed its work well,"he said.
Xiao Qinghua also commented on the recent withdrawal from the agreement of the Kyrgyz government on the Smart City project, which was signed with Huawei.
"Huawei's reputation is even better than that of TBEA. We learned through the media about the denunciation of the agreement. This is normal. This is a commercial project and is based on market principles. If someone does not like, he has the right to make a choice," he said.
The Chinese Ambassador stressed that these two situations will not affect the relations between the two countries. He said that China is aimed at deepening cooperation between the two countries.
