Local campaign looking to recognize 50th anniversary of MLK Jr. assassination

INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) – There is a local campaign hoping to raise funds in order add two new pieces honoring Dr. Martin Luther King and Robert Kennedy in Indianapolis.

The campaign, which is being sponsored by the Indiana Housing and Community Development Authority, is hoping to raise $50,000 in order to in install two new art pieces in Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Park in Indianapolis.

Amy DiStaulo, the executive director of the Kennedy King Memorial Initiative, stopped by WISH-TV to discuss the campaign.
