Estonia's consumer price inflation accelerated for the second straight month in August, figures from Statistics Estonia showed Thursday.
The consumer price index climbed 3.9 percent year-over-year in August, faster than the 3.6 percent increase in July. The measure has been rising since August last year.
Prices of food and non-alcoholic beverages grew 6.4 percent annually in July and transport costs went up by 4.8 percent.
On a monthly basis, consumer prices rose 0.4 percent from July, when it increased by 0.7 percent.
